Getting the most from your Property Team (employed versus contracted)

Graham joined EPM in 2022 and leads the Facilities Management division of EPM. Graham has extensive experience in facilities management having been the Property and Facilities Manager in private schools for over 20 years. During this time he has managed new builds, renovations, long term asset planning, procurement and tenders, contractor and staff management, sustainability initiatives, WH&S compliance, property planning and budgeting.

Graham has effectively led teams of maintenance supervisors and general hands as well as working on high level planning with executive staff, architects, engineers, and consultants. He has developed strong relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers and, coupled with his strong management skills, this has seen smooth operational maintenance, planning, and building in the organisations he has worked for, and the projects he has worked on.

Graham is well respected amongst the network of independent schools’ facilities managers, having been strongly involved with industry groups. He believes in working together for more efficient outcomes, and for a more effective and sustainable use of resources.

Graham’s outlook is always focused on coordination, implementation, and planning – elements which are crucial, behind the scenes, for any school or commercial space, and which result in the necessary support for staff to do their jobs seamlessly and confidently. His approach is calm and level-headed – he listens, he problem solves, he plans, he always pursues the best outcome, and he communicates well.
